Hello, my name is Anna and I am a highly skilled and experienced Pilates and Yoga teacher. I bring an enthusiastic, motivating, and uplifting spirit to all my classes. I'm highly knowledgeable in the field of movement having worked in sports competition and injury management for over 20 years. With a passion for movement and a deep understanding of the body, I specialize in guiding individuals on a journey of self-discovery, strength, rehabilitation, and well-being through optimal health. It is my goal to help clients achieve their personal goals.
I hold a Body Harmonic Pilates certification, which assures you of my expertise and commitment to the highest standards of practice. This certification allows me to effectively and safely guide individuals through Pilates exercises. These exercises include. These exercises include classical and contemporary mat work, reformer, cadillac, wunda chair, barrel, and uniquely modified Pilates and Yoga exercises. The second aspect of my teaching revolves around my understanding of injury and health complaints on a personal level.
I have worked for the most prestige clubs, clinics, and members' clubs around central London. My way of commuting to work was always cycling as this is what I love doing the most. I have gained lots of experience working in such a fast-paced metropolitan environment. I have been very active since early childhood. Before leaving Poland, I played handball in the goalkeeper position on a semi-professional level. When I was a kid, I was exposed to skiing, group exercises like volleyball, softball, table tennis, Babington, and short and long-distance running. I have traveled the world, visited multiple clubs, and tried lots of different styles of yoga and Pilates. I spoke at Corporate Wellness Day in London.
In 2006, I was diagnosed with a degenerative disc in my lumbar and sacral spine region and complications with a hip joint. It has been recommended that I undergo spinal surgery and that I be classified as disabled which would not allow me to continue my active lifestyle. I have researched the pros and cons of surgery and decided not to undergo it. I have decided to try Pilates and Yoga, along with other holistic modes. I have been coached by an Italian master Pilates instructor. He told me at the beginning of my journey that I had everything to become a fabulous Pilates teacher. I have fallen in love with this technique and Pilates' remarkable effects. I immediately started my daily regime, which I have continued to reap great and long-lasting benefits. I personally love pilates, yoga, meditation, jogging, swimming, hiking, and exercising with weights while listening to relaxing and calming music. I'm a newcomer to snowboarding, surfing, and kayaking. I'm always willing to explore an alternative way to train my body and mind.
In addition to my Pilates certification, I am also a Yoga teacher. This allows me to bring a holistic approach to my teaching, combining Pilates and Yoga principles to create a well-rounded, rejuvenating, fun, safe yet challenging practice with hands-on correction.
With a focus on alignment, precision, and safety, my teaching style is tailored to each individual's needs and goals. I believe in empowering my students to discover their full potential, both physically and mentally. This is done through mindful movement and the correct way of breathing.
Recognizing that each person is unique, I approach each lesson with empathy and individualized attention. By observing your posture, alignment, breathing patterns, level of fitness, and history of injuries I can tailor the exercises to meet you exactly where you are on your fitness journey.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced practitioner, I offer a variety of modifications and adaptations to cater to all fitness levels. This ensures that everyone can benefit from the practice, regardless of their starting point. Furthermore, I also teach prenatal and postnatal Pilates, as I admire how resilient, committed, and dedicated mothers to be are while still looking forward to having children. I have a wonderful relationship with my clients as a result of my passion, love, and dedication to Pilates and Yoga.
In addition to physical exercise, I also incorporate mindfulness and relaxation techniques into my classes. This helps you to find balance, reduce stress, and promote a sense of well-being. I incorporate sound healing and aromatherapy into each session allowing my clients to take them on a relaxation journey before finishing their practice.
